Wood plates and bowls are handmade in the Philippines of Acacia wood – also known as monkeypod. The square wooden plates are perfect for entertaining. You can place food directly on them, or dress them up with a decorative paper plate from Caspari. Since no two trees are identical, all the plates vary slightly in grain and color. Note: Acacia wood is mentioned in the Bible as the wood from which the Ark of the Covenant was made.
Product Care
No wood products should ever go in the dishwasher. For best results, wash by hand and air dry. You may want to rub with mineral oil or butcher block oil after several uses to restore the luster of the wood.
